Gangtok is located at an altitude of 54101 ft in East-Sikkim. Noodle based dishes such as thukpa, chowmein, thanthuk, fakthu, gyathuk and wonton are common in Sikkim whereas Momos steamed dumplings filled with vegetables, buffalo meat or pork and served with soup are a popular snacks. Sikkim has the third highest per capita alcoholism rate amongst all Indian state, behind Punjab and Haryana.
